Microsoft has released a consumer and developer preview of it’s famous operating system windows in its version 8. You can download and test the new features of Windows 8 and get to know the new look, design and features before its official release to consumers.

This is an opportunity you should not miss, since the new windows 8 is set to get a lot of new functions and introduces a totally new design with the Metro UI.

This operating system is in many regards different than its previous versions and is also the answer from Microsoft to the new trends and requirements for tables and mobile devices.

Remarkable features are that windows 8 also supports ARM processors and that will allow for more support for tables and mobile devices, as well as a very good support for Touch Screens, since this version is design to run on much more widely available hardware platforms.

Also the Metro UI leaves the concept of “windows” behind for which Microsoft operating system has been known in the past, but runs applications in a windows-less mode, which is more common to Apps for Windows Phone, tables PC or Apple iPad.

Dropbox is a very useful freeware that was created after the need for storage of files across many computers or devices and make them available on different locations.

What would you do if you forget your USB stick on the way to an important meeting or business appointment? For that case we hope you have copies of your files stored on dropbox or another cloud based storage service.

The cloud based file systems allow you to access your files from many computers and share them with many users. You can synchronize different file versions among different devices or computers or by using any web browser.

Many people also use dropbox to share pictures or videos of their vacations with friends and family, but also to access music files from many locations.

Dropbox lets you share files and archives across different platforms and with any user.
Allows you to download or upload files by using a native client or a web browser.
Allows users to access and manage files simultaneously using different collaboration features.

There have been reports on security issues and security holes when using dropbox that allowed unauthorized access to the whole user account without restrictions.

Your files are stored on the cloud, so you really don’t know who can access your files and you have to trust dropbox for security and privacy.
Don’t save secret information or files containing highly confidential information or confidential personal information such as company contracts, credit cards, bank accounts pay slips, account statements on dropbox.
